curriculum

“the years of early childhood are the time to prepare the soil” – R. Carson

The Curriculum offered at Community Preschool of Huntersville has been thoughtfully, and intentionally curated to offer our educators and students a well rounded offering of academic and social education opportunities and materials.

the creative curriculum

The Creative Curriculum program developed by Teaching Strategies is the base curriculum program for CPH. At Community Preschool of Huntersville, our Educators are the leaders in the classroom. They are responsible for taking the monthly theme and making it come alive for their students. Our educators KNOW their students. We believe in giving our educators the autonomy and creativity to develop their lessons. We do not believe in a “canned curriculum”. Teaching Strategies is noted as the “only connected ecosystem in early childhood education to connect teachers, children and families to engaging learning experiences, informative data, and stronger partnerships.

llamitas spanish

At CPH, we love supporting Moms and small businesses! Llamitas Spanish is a preschool Spanish curriculum and program developed by a bi-lingual blogger Mommy. We found the curriculum light and easy which is a perfect fit when introducing a second language to young children. We are excited to incorporate Llamitas Spanish into our program and look forward to teaching basic Spanish throughout our school from Nursery to Afterschool!

baby sign language

Baby Sign Language provides resources designed around the needs of infants and toddlers. Baby Sign Language teaches infants and toddlers early communication skills through basic, simple sign language skills. Baby Sign Language curriculum supplements are available for our educators and students in the CPH Nursery Program ages 10 weeks to 2 years.
