As your Toddler begins to take their first steps, they will also start to navigate feelings and relationships while developing a strong sense of identity.
At this age demonstrating independence can be very important to your child. Our educators encourage this by presenting options for your child to interact with and make decisions based on their emerging interests. This can be through having a variety of different learning environments, allowing self-serving at mealtimes, or posing questions in conversations to extend on thoughts or ideas. This not only encourages toddlers to explore new interests but also focuses on language development by encouraging children to begin to articulate their interests with educators, friends and family.

At Community Preschool of Huntersville, our Toddler Classrooms are bright, happy, and engaging educational spaces. If the student and parents are ready, potty training is introduced. Parents stay fully engaged and up to date with the parent app and parent portal that includes a daily sheet documenting class activities, themes, diet and nutrition, pottying and napping.
Toddler educators are special teachers with advanced training and skills to develop a Toddler’s natural inquisitive nature. Circle time is introduced in the CPH Toddler class for students to review themes, weather, ABCs, numbers and colors. This is also a time to sing songs, read books and learn to contribute in a group setting. CPH Toddler classes include an independent quiet time nesting center recognizing that sometimes Toddlers need an individual, calming space.
Our Toddlers have access to the Soccer Shots and Mr. Music enrichment activities. We love for our little students to learn how to work in a group setting, follow instructions and get their wiggles out through physical play and music appreciation. These activities are included with tuition and are not an add on fee. These services are also available to every age appropriate student. At CPH, we believe every student is important and that each student should have access to all enrichment activities. We love our Toddlers!
